The Racket Report – Starbucks Donates .10 Cents From Each Drink To Gay Marriage Licenses Nationwide
Starbucks once again raised it’s prices on Tuesday.
The decision comes from the CEO Howard Shultz’s passionate stance on gay marriage equality.
The increase will range from .10 – .20 cents for most drinks, with .10 of each one going to support gay couples who cannot afford the cost of a marriage license.
“Not every decision is an economic decision. We employ over 200,000 people in this company and want to embrace diversity of ALL kinds,” says Shultz. “It’s a free county. If you don’t like it, sell your shares, don’t buy Starbucks, go somewhere else.”
Two years ago Starbucks faced backlash when it first announced it’s support for gay marriage. In a response, The National Organization for Marriage boycotted the coffee chain.
“We cannot make everybody happy all the time, but we can support the people who choose to love. That’s what this world needs, more love. The gays do that best!” Shultz added.
Will you support Starbucks in this decision or will you buy your coffee somewhere else?
